Observed aurora forms:
The aurora display of 16th of March wasn’t any huge spectacle, but it was still fun to observe it. In this display, the aurorae were rather faint, and they were mostly colourless. The dominating aurora forms were faint aurora veil, arc and belts (with some rays). There wasn’t any distinct peak of activity in this display.
I noticed the faint aurorae roughy @ 20:35. Then there was some striated aurora veil/arcs in the sky, streching from eastern horizon over zenith towards western horizon. Around 21:15, a rayed aurora belt appeared at low altitude in the northern horizon. The lower part of this belt was distinctly green, and the upper part was purple. @ 21:25 a featureless, homogenous aurora arc appeared above the rayed belt. The display continued like this until 21:30, when I went back to my apartment to drink some hot chocolate after watching the aurora display!
