This night I went to my observing place in the village of Länsi-Aure in Kuru, Finland. There I noticed really bright noctilucent clouds in the northern sky! This NLC display was dominated by bright, filamented (O) veil (I), but there was also some long, sharply defined bands (IIb). The NLC’s of this display were really bright, and they were actually brightest that I have observed during this season so far! Some high- and middle clouds interfered observing a little. Besides these NLC’s I observed also a lunar halo phenomena with 22° halo and paraselene (moon dogs).
